Yesterday in a conversation the concept of deep time came up. The central insight is that humans live enfolded by deep time. It leaves its impression upon us, and we impress upon it our anxieties, our inventions, our desires. I often have these experiences when I feel the notions of conventional time and physical presence at the moment, are being bent and distorted. A good friend keeps on wondering about me, how can I be so absent at the moment while being sharply present. I think I understand now that for me being present is not related to a physical presence. My experience is shaped not at the moment and there is not really something like a moment in the first place. I mean, sure there is a word, it points to something, but the deep experience of a moment is different to me.
Deep moment.
Deep moment.
Deep moment.
